Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments can be performed for the following:
The Photo Rejuvenation (also know as Photo Facial) is a process that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to help reduce the appearance of many common skin afflictions, including the following:
- Sun/age spots
- Facial redness
- Mild acne
- Red veins
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin texture
- Large pore size
This technology is most commonly used on the face, but can also be used on the neck, chest, arms/hands, and other areas of the body.
Each treatment lasts about 30-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. Generally, you will require a set of 3-5 treatments (done about a month apart) to see optimal results.
There is little-to-no downtime with IPL Photo Rejuvenation, and it is a safe and effective procedure.
The Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology is also effective for hair reduction on all parts of the body, including the face. It targets the melanin in the hair roots and shaft. As the melanin absorbs the light, the hair root and shaft are heated and destroyed.
Multiple treatments are required for optimal results as the IPL can only target ‘active’ hair follicles, and not all follicles are active a the same time.
