Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a minimally-invasive medical procedure that involves microinjections of a solution into spider veins. This causes the veins to collapse and coagulate, forcing blood to reroute through healthier veins. Over time, the collapsed spider veins are reabsorbed into local tissues and fade away.

Generally, it takes about 4-6 weeks to start seeing results, and multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve optimal results. Often, the treated areas look worse after treatment before improving. This is normal.
